Attend a conversation with two of Charlotte’s top environmental leaders: former mayor of Charlotte and CMCL co-founder, Jennifer Roberts and public educator and founder of Harvesting Humanity, Eboné Lockett! The event will take place on Friday, 3/21 in 124 McEniry Hall from 1-2 pm and light refreshments will be provided.
Jennifer Roberts and Eboné Lockett will share with us about their life-long dedication to climate justice work in Charlotte government and educational leadership. Read their bios here.
Moderators Dr. Michael Ewers (EEGS), Dr. Tina Shull (HIST), and Adreonna Bennett (Atkins Library) will also discuss the Climate Inequality CLT project, including the Climate Inequality CLT Atlas and StoryMaps built with students and support from the Urban Institute, and how the project leverages data, digital storytelling, public exhibits, oral histories, and community conversations to elevate Charlotte’s environmental justice leadership.
