DESCRIPTION:Time and date: Friday\, August 22nd\, 1:00-3:00 PM\nLocation: Landscape Management Arboretum\, 811 Tuckaseegee Rd\, Charlotte\, NC 28208\nActivity: Identify and tally pollinators as part of regionwide biodiversity movement.\nNote: Hosted with Bee City partners: Charlotte Wildlife Stewards\, NCWF\, and City of Charlotte Landscape Management\n\nJoin NCWF Charlotte Wildlife Stewards chapter\, the City of Charlotte\, and NCWF staff at the Tuckaseegee Arboretum & Gardens for The Great Southeast Pollinator Census. Drop in anytime to receive your crash course in pollinator ID before reviewing instructions and beginning your count in the pollinator garden onsite. \nCounting is simple. Observe a flowering plant for 15 minutes and tally the number of insects that land on it. No prior experience is needed to participate. We will provide everything you need\, and afterwards\, you can participate in the Census at home. The Great Southeast Pollinator Census occurs all day on August 22nd and August 23rd!  \nThe goals of the Census are threefold: to create sustainable pollinator habitat\, to increase the entomological literacy of our community\, and to generate useful data about our pollinator populations. This is a family friendly event!
