DESCRIPTION:Kickoff the 7th annual “Creek Week!” On this date\, Park & Recreation partners with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water and Keep Charlotte Beautiful to conduct a combined Greenway\, Stream and Street litter cleanup! \nVolunteers will be able to choose how they would like to help: in the Stream\, on the Greenway\, or on the surrounding neighborhood streets – in this huge effort to care for our precious waterways and our whole environment!  \n*PARKING is limited at the Greenway entrance – please plan to park in the Independence Square Shopping Center\, 7211 E Independence Blvd\, 28227 – in the lot closest to Margaret Wallace Road; then walk to the Greenway. Watch for signs!  \nPlease plan to arrive early\, so that we can check in volunteers\, divide into Stream (in the water)\, Street and Greenway teams\, and review safety instructions.  \n\nVolunteers should plan to bring their own work gloves (extras will be available) and water supply. \nPlease wear long pants and closed-toe shoes (REQUIRED\, NO sandals\, Crocs or flip-flops!)\nAnyone under the age of 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult!\nEach Volunteer must sign up individually in order to acknowledge their review of and agreement with the Volunteer Waiver and Safety Guidelines – READ and click to acknowledge in your response. DESCRIPTION:TreesCharlotte is excited to provide the End of Season TreeAdoption. All Charlotte residents are invited to come out and get some trees. There will be have a mix of species\, from small flowering to canopy building to evergreen screening. There’s something for everybody. \nA link to register for trees will be added to the event website on Friday\, March 14th at 10:00 am. \nHere’s what you need to know:  \nRegistration details \n\nRegistration is required and opens at 10:00 am Friday\, March 14th (link will be posted above on Friday\, March 14th at 10:00 am) and closes when trees “sell out” or at 11:59 pm Thursday\,  March 20th.  \nEach registration requires a unique name\, address\, and email address. Registrants using the same contact details for multiple registrations will be canceled.\nEach registration is limited to 2 trees. While the registration form does not limit the total number of trees\, registrations requesting more than 2 trees will be canceled.\nRegistrations are limited to City of Charlotte residents only. Registered addresses outside of the City of Charlotte will be automatically canceled.\nThe list of trees below are expected from our growers. In case they are not of the quality we demand\, we reserve the right to substitute with a similar species.\nReselling TreesCharlotte trees or using them for profit is prohibited and will result in a ban from future TreesCharlotte events and adoptions.\nAll attendees are required to go through a planting demonstration at the adoption.
